HOME HERO INSTITUTE INC.
Home Hero Institute Inc. is a veteran-founded nonprofit protecting homeowners, developing trade professionals, and building generational wealth in Northwest Louisiana — one mission at a time.

Home Hero Institute Inc. was founded by Marc Anderson, a United States military veteran who came home to Shreveport and saw what was happening to his community.
Homeowners being exploited by unlicensed contractors. Young men with no clear path to a trade career. Veterans who took off the uniform and lost the one thing that gave them purpose - a mission worth showing up for.
So he built one.
Home Hero Institute Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Community Development Corporation and National Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Sponsor. We train young men and future military service members. We credential trade professionals. We educate homeowners. And we give veterans a field to lead again.
THIS IS NOT A DONATION BOX. THIS IS A MOVEMENT.
We educate homeowners across Northwest Louisiana on contractor fraud, unlicensed operator red flags, and how to protect one of their most important investments. When every dollar counts, knowledge is armor.
Through our National DOL Registered Apprenticeship program, we credential young men and women in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical, and General Contracting — creating career pathways that pay, last, and build.
Trade careers are wealth vehicles. Financial literacy is power. We deliver both — free to our apprentices and accessible to every homeowner, parent, and aspiring entrepreneur in our community.
Every day in communities across this country, working families lose thousands of dollars to unlicensed contractors who disappear after taking the deposit. Homeowners who can't afford to lose that money - lose it anyway. And nobody is held accountable.
At the same time, there is a massive trade workforce shortage. Young men who could earn six figures with a licensed trade are sitting without direction. Veterans who ran logistics, managed equipment, and led people under pressure are struggling to translate those skills into civilian careers.
Marc Anderson saw all three of these problems at once. And he realized they had the same solution.
Build an institution. Train the tradespeople. Protect the homeowners. Give veterans a mission that matters in their own backyard.
Home Hero Institute Inc. was born from that intersection.
We operate a National DOL Registered Apprenticeship program across five trade disciplines. We run the Junior Gauntlet - a youth leadership boot camp for 7th through 12th grade young men. We run Operation Baseline - a 4-week pre-military preparation program at Lake Bistineau for men and women entering military service. We partner with VFW and American Legion posts to give veteran leaders a field to command again. And we deliver homeowner protection education to the community that needs it most.
This is what it looks like when a veteran brings the mission home.
National Department of Labor credentialed trade training across 5 disciplines. Free to enrolled apprentices.
A 4-week pre-basic training preparation program held at Lake Bistineau. Physical, mental, and psychological preparation.
An intensive summer youth leadership boot camp for 7th through 12th grade young men. Discipline, teamwork, and character.
A year-round adult military fitness and accountability program. Two daily shifts. SMS-automated accountability check-ins.
A community education media series dedicated to homeowner protection, contractor fraud awareness, and financial literacy.
We do not serve a faceless demographic. We protect, develop, and build three distinct communities — each requiring a specialized operational approach and unyielding dedication to the mission.
From 7th grade to enlistment day, we build character, discipline, and career readiness in the young men of Northwest Louisiana before the world gets the chance to redirect them.
Young adults 18–28 who want a career that pays, lasts, and builds toward ownership. Our DOL apprenticeship program gives them the credential, the OJT hours, and the mentorship to make it real.
Working families who cannot afford to be exploited by unlicensed contractors. We arm them with knowledge, connect them with verified professionals, and stand between them and fraud.
Home Hero Institute operates on a dual-track organizational model built on military precision and community trust.
Our Commissioned Officers (CO-1 through CO-9) are the operational backbone of the organization. Trained, assigned, and accountable — these are the men and women who run the programs, manage the compliance, and execute the mission every day.
Our Volunteer Enlisted members (VE-1 through VE-7) are veterans, trade professionals, and community leaders who choose to invest their time and expertise in this mission. Zero obligation. Maximum impact. Real rank. Real recognition.
We Do What We Said We Would Do.
To our community, our donors, our government partners, and each other - our word is our bond and our records reflect our conduct.
The Standard Is Always the Highest Standard.
We do not accept mediocrity in our training, our documentation, our field operations, or our community presence. Good enough is not good enough.
Every Rank Carries Accountability.
We do not make excuses. We make solutions. Every officer, every volunteer, and every apprentice owns their role and their results.
We Open Doors That Were Previously Closed.
For young men. For veterans. For working families. For the tradespeople who build and protect this community. That is why we exist.

United States military veteran and founder of Home Hero Institute Inc. Marc built this organization from the belief that the mission doesn't end when the uniform comes off.
